The DofE programme is open to young people between the ages of 14 — 24 and provides an opportunity for participants to experience new activities or develop existing skills. The main difference between each level is the age a young person can start the length of time they take to complete and how challenging they are. There will be no Henry Box School representative accompanying the Expedition section. Activities for each DofE section take a minimum of one hour a week over a set period of time, so they can be fitted in around academic study, hobbies and social lives.

As the number of young people enrolling in DofE has increased, we want to ensure that young people and parents receive quality information and advice. Young people must be present to sign up to the award. We accept cash and cheques but unfortunately have no card facilities. Cheques are made payable to London Borough of Redbridge. We only offer expeditions for the Bronze Award. We are in the process of setting the dates for the expeditions. We will contact you when they are confirmed.
We require payment in full. The cost includes a contribution to the costs incurred by the Youth Service for providing the expeditions. Parents of the young people must attend their part of the training day from 3.

The Salvation Army team were always supportive and guided us through our adventure with organisation and enthusiasm as well as with a high regard for the safety and well-being of all students involved.
